I enjoy the app, especially being able to watch the Viking ! Ez to use.

I downloaded the app just to watch the Vikings series and I was surprised by the way it has been developed. Great sections layout and picture quality. Commercials are annoying but hey, it is a free app and I dont mind having to watch adds.

This App rocks!

Its a great app to watch the history channel on, however it has a TON of bugs, it makes every thing slightly bigger like the keyboard for some reason. Also the adds are torture because they buffer and sometimes crash the entire app. Sometimes it refuses to play entirely. The search is a bit wonky too, it doesnt show the most recent, it shows you episode out of order, like the top result could be a season five episode, and the second result be something from season one, so it can be tricky to navigate. If your willing to put up with that, then download the app, if not then well....

I love the app. Its a must use

I have loved the History Channel for a long time, but since some of the new shows have come out, I find myself going to it as a regular channel. Vikings is my favorite I must say, but Forged in Fire and others rank up there as well. The only down side is the long commercial breaks, I could do without those.

The History Channel and all there programs have never been a let down. Always exiting, highly entertaining, and educational. Keep up the Great Work!! RJ

Has gone to the bone yard.

Im a fan of the History Channel shows, but this app is beyond terrible! At every ad break it crashes...requires a restart and a return to the beginning of the program. To finish one show takes HOURS due to the constant restarts and having to slog through nonstop ads. Recommend The History Channel ask Amazon for advice on the Prime viewer app-- it works great! I will be migrating my viewership to Amazon.

Pardon my pun. I just used the app to watch an old episode of a history series. Tried it later with another. For a 40 minute show, I had to endure 50 minutes of commercials!!!! There is no way around it. I am deleting History from my phone. And I will NEVER watch the History channel so long as I live. By the time I was done, I wanted to destroy every bit of TV and communications technology I own. If I could somehow get to the developers of the app, or the money grabbing execs who directed them, I would thoroughly enjoy slowly strangling the life out of them. I cared not for ANY of the the commercials seen.

Too many commercials

Please offer a commercial free subscription option. Your comical timer is off, you slide in a 30 second movie trailer that is either to high def or not formatted correctly and it freezes for over a minute. Tell your client Dodge that they are advertising a different brand in the bottom left corner of the screen, it has a Ram logo on one side of the Highway and then it says EXPLORE 1500 on the right... Looks like a FORD ad. Catch up to the times history you are one of the big boys now and this should be flawless!

Just started watching Alone. Loved it so I went back and watched Season 1. Yes I cried at the end, the words spoken are so true. I cant get enough. My husband watches American Pickers. Going to browse through other shows to give them a try. Keep it up History Channel you have a new fan.

The characters are so intriguing, larger than life. The main actors do a superb job. Its like a book that you never want to put down. It frequently gets too bloody, but with all the hype over the years of Viking raids and the terror of the Norsemen, I guess there is not much to be done about that. I really enjoy watching the characters grow and change. Thanks for this wonderful program.

Agree with other reviewers, the commercials are ridiculous! Also having the same problem with The Nice Guys commercial shutting the player down. Its a stupid looking movie that no one in that no one in their right mind would see anyway. Get your crap together History channel, remove the bloat from your apps and youd fare better.

Vikings is very well done. Five stars for content OTOH the lengthy and repetitive ad load kills the experience.

To many adds

The app worked well and streamed high quality images, but there seemed to be just as much time on commercials as the show.

I love watching Vikings, but this app has made it very difficult. The amount of commercials is insane especially the one for The Nice Guys movie. It constantly buffers. Please fix this!
